We are replacing this current help desk with new software.
The vendor we purchased the help desk from has since gone out of business and as some of you may have noticed the help desk is getting license errors about not being able to connect to a license server.
A few refreshes and it will work but it is getting to a point of being unworkable long term.
Now to answer some of the obvious questions.
Q: Will I have to sign up for new help desk or will my current info carry over?
A: Sadly we have tired to port over your details to the new help desk, but because the new help desk and the old one use a different password encryption routines we have no way to port over passwords. So in the end it is easier to sign up anew than ask for password resets etc.. Especially since some of you have changed email addresses since signing up to this one.
Q: How about my old tickets?
A: Again the data is not compatible with the new help desk.
However we will leave the old help desk on line for reading only you will not be able to update a ticket on it but should be able to read old tickets only.
Q: Will the new help desk be at the same url?
A: We will put a redirect in place that will redirect you to the new help desk.
When will this change take place?
Sun night Apirl 5th at 11 pm.
